March 18th, 2020:  As we discussed in our previous communication, First Financial Bank continues to monitor current COVID-19 news from trusted sources and continues to evaluate how to best serve our customers and protect the health and well-being of our employees and customers.  Accordingly, all First Financial Bank lobbies will be closed immediately except for necessary appointments detailed below.  All forms of banking will continue as usual, as detailed below:

  • Drive Thrus open at all branch locations Monday through Thursday from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, Friday from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm, and Saturdays from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm noon.
  • Branch appointments can be made for transactions that require you enter the branch lobby, including deposit account opening, loan applications, business cash services, safe deposit box entry, CD maturities, Fresh Start loans, and certain wire transfers.  If an appointment is needed, please contact your branch of choice to set a time and coordinate service.  Locations and phone numbers are available on our website at www.ffbalabama.com.
  • Online Banking with Bill Pay:  You can access your account online at www.ffbalabama.com.  Check balances and transactions, or pay your bills through online bill pay.  Contact your branch to learn more about setting up an Online Banking account.
  • Mobile Banking with Mobile Deposit and Person-to-Person Payments:  You can access your account on our mobile app by searching “First Financial Bank Alabama”.  You can deposit checks through the app, as well as send a payment directly to another person.  Contact your branch to learn more about accessing Mobile Banking.  Fees may apply.
  • Telephone Banking:  Call 1-800-436-5112 to check balances or perform transactions.  Fees may apply.
  • Debit Card:  Make purchases using your First Financial Bank debit card.  Contact your branch to learn more about applying for a debit card.
  • ATM:  Withdraw cash or check account balances at any of our 6 ATM locations using your ATM/debit card.  ATM locations are available on our website at www.ffbalabama.com.

While this decision was not easy, Bank management felt it was the necessary and responsible decision in order to keep our employees’ and customers’ health and well-being as our top priority.  For those concerned about how your funds might be impacted by this event, all of our customers’ deposits are insured up to FDIC limits.  Also, as a reminder, the banking industry is identified as a Critical Infrastructure Sector by the Department of Homeland Security, which means that banks will continue to operate in any situation to ensure all customers have access to their funds as they are needed.  Even though lobbies will be closed, all forms of banking will continue as usual.

 March 13th, 2020:  At First Financial Bank, the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, customers, and communities we serve are our highest priority.  We continue to closely monitor the current situation surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) through a variety of sources.  We maintain policies and procedures to ensure we are able to continue business during times such as these, and we are currently following those plans.  First Financial Bank will continue normal banking operations at all locations.

We are taking precautionary steps to mitigate risks associated with the Coronavirus outbreak.  Steps we are currently taking include:

  • Monitoring information from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH), and federal, state, and local agencies to ensure we are following the most recent guidance and recommendations
  • Increased cleaning and sanitation efforts in our branches while reinforcing healthy habits for our employees
  • Canceling all business-related travel
  • Eliminating all non-essential face-to-face meetings
  • Keeping our products and services fully available to you

While our employees enjoy seeing you in our branches, we fully understand the preference some customers may have in limiting daily interactions.  Below are several ways to provide you flexibility in accessing your account remotely:
